Jst-4-Fn advanced maneuvers

At the start, the kites are generally in a burst ball ( Burst maneuver) with the leading edge inwards. They then all fly forward and slide slightly to meet in the center. They then fly forward and slide slightly in the other direction.

These maneuvers can be stressful for the kitefliers, as they may be afraid of colliding with other kites. The leader can specify the kite to cross to facilitate the movement:

• Passing through left tips: kites cross by the left wing
• Passing through right tips: kites cross on the right wing

Calls from the leader: slow burst, 180, passing through left tips, 180, passing through right tips, reverse.

At the start of this maneuver, the kites are generally in vertical or horizontal split position. The kites rotate around the center, each turning forwards. As a result, even-numbered kites turn in the opposite direction to odd-numbered kites.

By default, each kite turns in the direction of its leading edge. The leader can specify the direction of rotation.

Maintaining the 2 lines is important. The kites at the ends give the speed of movement. The inner kites adapt their speed to maintain the line.

By default, the Cascade maneuver implies a 180° rotation. In practice, the leader can indicate the desired angle: cascade 90, cascade 180, cascade 360, etc.

Leader calls: cascade 90, cascade 90, cascade 180, 180, cascade 360.

The Cascade complete maneuver is a sequence of the following maneuvers: cascade 90, pair change, cascade 90. The leader can choose to announce this maneuver or to announce the maneuvers one by one. The kites then turn around. The leader can then say "cascade complete" or simply "back" to perform the opposite maneuvers.

In North America, this maneuver is called Blender.

Calls from the leader: cascade complete, 180, cascade complete.

The kites start at split position, then move forward and slide to form a ball. The team can then perform a series of maneuvers before returning to the split position.

Kites start at split position, then move forward and slide to perform a maneuver Burst. In practice, the team can perform these maneuvers without stopping.

Calls from the leader: split burst, 180, back to split.

The kites are in position ball. The odd or even kites make a half-turn. The leader can then request a pair change. The leader can then call for a U-turn or continue with the next pairs.

Leader calls: numbers 2 180 clock, pair change, 180, pair change, 180, numbers 2 180 anti-clock.

The kites are in position ball. The odd or even numbered kites make a half-turn. The leader can then request a change 90. The kites form a windmill.

Leader calls: numbers 2 180 clock, change 90, rotate one position, again, 180, rotate 2 positions, change 90, 180, numbers 2 180 anticlock.

The kites are in position ball. The odd or even numbered kites perform a 180. The leader can then request a transfer from the right or left.

Leader calls: numbers 2 180 up, transfer from right, 180 clock, back.

The kites will execute a pinwheel 90. Then, the outer kites will go straight ahead, while the inner ones will continue on a pinwheel 90 and then fly forward.

Calls from the leader: Pinwheel corner, 180, back to pinwheel.

At the start, the kites are lined up facing the same direction. They move forward. Then, one by one, each kite turns 90° and continues to move forward. The leader must specify the direction to be taken.

Calls from the leader: step down, stop, 180, step left.

Kites start at split position and then perform the equivalent of a step maneuver in the direction indicated by the leader.

Calls from the leader: take down, 180, take in.
